Meals on Wheels San Francisco’s 35th annual Star Chefs & Vintners Gala took place on May 21 at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center and was a huge success for homebound, food-insecure seniors, raising $3.5 million, enough to fund 700,000 meals. Annually, the organization prepares and delivers 2.6 million meals to the homes of seniors living in San Francisco and Northern San Mateo County.
Approximately 550 guests enjoyed an incredible hors d’oeuvre reception that showcased the culinary talents of 80 chefs from the region, while sommeliers generously poured wines representing more than 70 wineries followed by a four-course, wine-paired dinner with more than 2,500 plated courses, a live auction and Fund-A-Route program.
VIPs included Zaza Pachulia and Tika Pachulia, Vishal and Pantea Grover, Rosemary and Harry Wong, Moses Moody, Joanne Weir, and Nancy Oakes
