The American Conservatory Theater’s (A.C.T.) 3rd Annual All Hallows’ Gala: A Ball for All was held on October 25 at the historic August Hall in Downtown San Francisco. It was an elegant and fun evening that raised $430,000 of essential funds for A.C.T.’s diverse and far-reaching artistic, actor training and community programs. The gala event celebrated both Halloween—the most theatrical of holidays—and the shared belief in the transformational power of live theater.
The night started with a welcome performance by students in A.C.T.’s Young Conservatory, and special appearances by Mayor London Breed and stage and screen star BD Wong. Other VIPs in the crowd included emcee and Tony award winner Anthony Veneziale, gala chairs Rod and Ann Marymor and A.C.T. Executive Director Jennifer Bielstein. The Marymors said they were thrilled to celebrate an amazing night of community and very special performances, all while raising vital funds to sustain A.C.T.’s artistic programs.
