Maison Danel is Next Level French Perfection in Heart of SF

When David and Danel de Betelu were married in France, their dream was to open the most elegant French Pâtisserie and Salon de Thé in San Francisco. Today, their wedding painting hangs at the entrance of this elegant spot while romance and delicious scents of croissants and pastries emanate through the air. If Ladurée and Versailles had a baby in the French Countryside, this chic restaurant, which miraculously survived the pandemic just weeks after it’s opening would be just that.

But, speaking of weddings, as so many of wedding dates at City Hall and throughout the rest of the world have been pushed back, finding the perfect post-ceremony spot has proven to be a challenge for many. Have no fear: Maison Danel’s beautiful Salon de Thé features seating options for 2 to 20+ under a larger-than-life sized crystal chandelier and offers a perfect place to celebrate nuptials with a beautiful selection of brunch to dinner items and every sweet treat in between. Brides & Grooms who reserve space for a rehearsal or reception will receive a bottle of Maison Danel’s signature Crémant d’Alsace as a gift. In addition, the space is perfect for showers from Bridal to Baby and beyond.

Maison Danel’s elegant Tea Salon is specifically designed to transport you to a Salon de Thé in Paris without leaving San Francisco. During the pandemic, the restaurant began delivering its popular Afternoon Tea Boxes to make the Maison Danel Afternoon Tea experience accessible at home. The signature Afternoon Tea service comes in beautiful packaging (colorful boxes tied with their beautiful, signature ribbon) and is now available with just 30-minute advance ordering, making same-day ordering possible. Orders for Pickup and Delivery can be made directly at maisondanel.com.

If you are craving a Quiche or Oeufs Bénédicte? Maison Danel is just the place to head for an oh-so-French Quiche Lorraine or poached eggs with either Canadian Bacon, Smoked Salmon, or Spinach on English muffins. Other epic French selections include Croque Monsieur, Croque Madame, and Bœuf Bourguignon as well as the Maison Danel Burger with Truffle Mayonnaise. The new Croissant Sandwich with eggs, ham and cheese and an updated Croissant Perdu, French Toast made with a croissant – two of the best French treats combined, tops the list. Of course, add signature coffee from Maison Danel, or pair with a bottle of Crémant.

A basket of Maison Danel’s favorites is the perfect treat for a Francophile. Choose from a selection that includes Macarons, Madeleines, butter cookies, and Maison Danel’s very own sparkling Crémant d’Alsace. All the items are baked fresh daily and packaged in a gift basket wrapped in clear cellophane with a signature Maison Danel ribbon.
