Designer and educator Zoe Hong held a glamorous book signing at the Oakland School for the Arts, where the theme was fashion and the audience understood the assignment. A crowd of glammed-up book lovers gathered for an exciting live event that included an author interview and a raffle. Hong was there to launch her new book, Fashion School in a Book, and its accompanying workbook, Fashion School in a Book Design Journal.
The event opened with an author interview, conducted by event co-hosts Stephanie Verrieres and Derek Piazza, covering Hong’s career, her design insights and advice for design students. The interview was followed by an open Q&A session, with the audience peppering the author with questions about her life, personal style and inspiration for writing the book. Guests left happy after the signing and a lively raffle, with a grand prize of a free zoom private consultation with Zoe herself.
