Kabir McNeely marked a watershed birthday with a party on March 2 at the Herbst Manor in Pacific Heights. The young actor and model also used the special occasion to highlight a professional milestone: the completion of his directorial debut feature film Fallaway. One of McNeely’s fellow cast members, co-star Christian Puentes, attended the afternoon soiree, along with industry insiders like actress and singer Bettina Devin, best known for her role as Idina Menzel’s mother in the film adaptation of the musical Rent.
Growing up in the Bay Area, McNeely was raised by his fathers Ken McNeely and Inder Dhillon, attended the Branson School in Marin and later trained at the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Los Angeles. In addition to his directing and acting work in the upcoming Fallaway, McNeely has starred as the titular Moe in the award-winning film My Name Is Moe, and played a supporting role in American Conservatory Theater’s mainstage production of A Christmas Carol.
