Festival Napa Valley presents a diverse lineup of opera scenes and a fully staged opera production during its 2024 Summer Season, July 6-21.
- 14 fellows in the Festival’s 2024 Manetti Shrem Summer Vocal Conservatory perform an admission-free Festival Live! concert on Friday, July 12 at 11am at CIA at Copia.
- South African soprano Pretty Yende and Chilean-American tenor Jonathan Tetelman headline Uytengsu Family Opening Night, performing a selection of favorite opera arias and duets with Festival Orchestra Napa under the baton of Maestro Carlo Montanaro. The concert takes place Friday, July 12 at 6:30pm on the Festival Napa Valley stage at Charles Krug.
- Vocal Fantastique: Opera & Chorale includes a vocal showcase by the Manetti Shrem Opera Fellows, as well as Gordon Getty’s Old Man triptych performed complete for the first time. Volti Chorale and Festival Orchestra Napa also take part in this dynamic evening celebrating the vocal arts on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30pm at Charles Krug.
- Festival Napa Valley presents an innovative staging of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio as the 2024 Manetti Shrem Opera. Soprano Brenda Rae, tenor Michele Angelini, bass David Soar, and actor Victor Talmadge star in the production, joined by Volti Chorale, modern dance group BODYTRAFFIC, and Festival Orchestra Napa led by Carlo Montanaro. The opera is directed by Jean-Romain Vesperini and takes place Saturday, July 20 at 6:30pm at Charles Krug.
