Union Square Foundation Luncheon

On May 3rd, the Union Square Foundation hosted its Annual Spring Fundraiser Luncheon, ‘Infinite Progress’ at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, presented by United Airlines.

This successful gathering brought together community members, hoteliers, restaurateurs, property owners, government officials, and a wide array of impressive global companies/vendors and stakeholders. ​

Marisa Rodriguez, CEO of the Union Square Alliance and Foundation, expressed deep gratitude to sponsors, including the generous Presenting Sponsor – United Airlines and Diamond Sponsor – Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, whose support enabled the Foundation to raise significant funds towards our goal of maintaining Union Square as “forever” and ensuring our momentum is everlasting.

​Mayor London Breed highlighted downtown revitalization efforts, while Papia Gambelin of United Airlines reaffirmed commitments to enhancing visitor experiences. ​

​The fireside chat was moderated by Rodriguez and Gambelin with participation from California state and city officials including ​ Assemblymember Matt Haney, California Senator Scott Wiener, Tara Lynn Gray from The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), and Rodney Fong, CEO and President of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Together these leaders explored innovative strategies for downtown recovery and tourism, reflecting a collective dedication to Union Square’s evolution and vibrancy.
