Raphael House Black and White Gala Smashes Record Raising $1 Million for Homeless Families

May 11 saw philanthropists, business leaders and community members turn out to support Raphael House’s critical mission of providing shelter, support, and services for Bay Area families experiencing homelessness. The Palace Hotel was the site for 2024’s annual fundraising gala, where guests both enjoyed a festive night and gave back to the community.

The evening began with a gourmet dinner, followed by a lively auction where paddle raisers competed for a variety of goods and experiences donated by local businesses. Throughout the evening, speakers and special guests highlighted the uplifting stories of families whose lives have been transformed through Raphael House’s impactful programs.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us at the 2024 Black and White Gala to support Raphael House and the families we serve,” said Marc Slater, Executive Director of Raphael House. “Your generosity will enable us to continue providing critical resources and opportunities to families experiencing homelessness, empowering them to build brighter futures.”

Since its founding in 1971, Raphael House has been a leader in providing family centered solutions for Bay Area residents experiencing homelessness. Together with its community supporters, the organization works tirelessly to address the root causes of homelessness and empower families to achieve long-term stability.
