Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Celebrates Fashion with Two Exciting Exhibits

On Thursday, March 14, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco welcomed guests to a dazzling evening of art and fashion at the de Young Museum. Three hundred donors and art lovers gathered in honor of two iconic exhibitions on view at the de Young this spring and summer: the highly anticipated Irving Penn, organized by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in collaboration with The Irving Penn Foundation, and in association with the Fine Arts Museums, and Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style.

The fashion-forward reception highlighted Penn’s iconic photographs and 20- and 21st-century selections from the Fine Arts Museum’s own costume collection. The glamorous guest list that night included the Fine Arts Museum’s Director and CEO Tom Campbell, The Met’s Jeff Rosenheim, Diane B. Wilsey, Denise Bradley-Tyson, Yurie and Carl Pascarella, Tatiana Sorokko, Brenda Wright, Nancy Kukacka, Mary Beth and David Shimmon, and Kathy Huber.
