This past Friday, February 9, newly opened Izzy’s on the Peninsula hosted a dinner with the auxiliary of nonprofit Partners and Advocates for Remarkable Children and Adults (PARCA), which offers programs and services that benefit developmentally disabled individuals and their families throughout the Bay Area.
Since 1952, PARCA has committed to enriching the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, providing residential programs, support for those living independently, respite care, before- and after-school childcare, and family support and advocacy services.
Illuminating PARCA’s remarkable mission, the charitable evening drew nearly 80 esteemed guests, among the Bay Area’s finest, including Izzy’s own Samantha DuVall Bechtel, Managing Partner of the DuVall Family Hospitality Group and husband Darren Bechtel, as well as PARCA Auxiliary President Nidhi Dash, Principal Interior Designer of Erin E. Calihan Design, Erin Calihan. With 100% of ticket sales dedicated to supporting PARCA’s cause, the event provided Izzy’s – who donated the venue, food, drinks and labor for the event – with an opportunity to unveil its elevated new space, highlight its dynamic menu and beverage offerings, and showcase its sophisticated new interiors expertly designed by GACHOT.
