Romance & Charm at Hotel Yountville Resort & Spa

Napa Valley is home to many of life’s greatest indulgences, and one need not venture beyond the tiny and tony town of Yountville in order to experience it all. Often described as an ‘adult Disneyland,’ Yountville’s starring attractions include gourmet restaurants, elegant wine tasting rooms, porch-lined cottages to admire via a bike ride or hike, and public art. Visual surprises are found on every sparkling clean street corner and within bench-lined parklets filled with fragrant roses. Anchoring this bliss is Hotel Yountville Resort & Spa, where guests experience a quintessential wine country vibe.

Considered one of Napa Valley’s cherished resorts, this vineyard inspired retreat encourages guests to make themselves at home with its welcoming fireplace-centered lobby, creek-adjacent surroundings, and beautifully appointed rooms. Hotel grounds (home to the oldest Heritage Oak Tree in the Valley) and walking paths are dotted with whimsical sculptures; firepit-bordering seating areas inspire convivial conversation. The original farmhouse structure, accented with Napa river rock, pays homage to the legacy of the grounds’ early agrarian owners. And the large, central pool and deck, bordered by mature Italian cypress trees, provide the perfect spot to unwind after a day of wine tasting. The heated pool and adjacent hot tub can be enjoyed year-round, and in warmer months, pool butlers offer complimentary amenities including Evian spritz, chilled towels, frozen fruit skewers, frozen cocktail samples, sunscreen samples, and infused water.

Guests can choose from a variety of room sizes and layouts, many of which feature romantic four poster beds and corner fireplaces. (Note: rooms are scheduled for a slight refresh soon; a sneak peek revealed modern updates that enhance the existing charming ambiance.) Each is stocked with complimentary organic fruit and nut mixes, granola squares, and caramel macchiato almonds. Within the total 80 rooms and suites, many feature vaulted ceilings, or outdoor patios, or French doors that bring the outside in. For added coziness, the hotel has partnered with Bedside Reading to offer guests eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and meditations, each of which is for keeps after sign-up and download. Hotel Yountville is also home to the largest suite in town—the Yountville Presidential Suite featuring 1,100 square-feet of pure indulgence, including a large dining area, two-person spa tub, and a rainfall and steam shower. Connect to a 575 square-foot premium king suite for additional space.

Though on-site restaurant Heritage Oak is a must for classic American breakfasts, lunch, poolside, and in-room dining (meals are delivered throughout the five acre property via a vintage-inspired, three-wheel cruiser with large basket), one of Hotel Yountville’s greatest attributes is its proximity to Yountville’s many restaurants and wine tasting venues. Park the car, forget about it, and stroll or bike (the hotel offers complimentary bicycles) to Yountville’s culinary gems such as Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery, Ad Hoc, and La Calenda are all just steps away, as is sister hotel Bardessono’s Lucy Restaurant and Bar where locally-sourced ingredients are utilized in soul-satisfying, seasonal dishes such as summer corn and lobster risotto, herb marinated lamb chops, port-glazed figs, and roasted baby beets. The Lucy culinary team partners with farms and purveyors regionally in order to create distinct Yountville flavors. Lucy’s onsite, certified organic garden also provides the fresh herbs and garnishes found in the bar’s creative, hand-crafted libations.

Finally, Hotel Yountville’s spa provides the ideal place to detox or rejuvenate. Steps from the pool deck, the full-service spa features a relaxation room, salon, and boutique store. Services include body massages and polishes, facials, wraps and couples’ treatments that are serviced in suites with luxurious double hydrotherapy tubs and fireplaces. New to the spa menu is the incredibly effective 80-minute Nanofacial that uses cutting-edge Nanotechnology reminiscent of micro-needling, acupressure, and cold therapy. This pain-free and effective treatment reduces fine lines and wrinkles, minimizespore visibility, and improves the skin’s overall tone and texture, providing instant, vibrant and long-lasting results.

Traveling with your pup? Hotel Yountville Resort & Spa welcomes furry friends; well-mannered dogs receive monogrammed bedding, dog bowls, ropes, and frisbees—a great wine country experience, from a pet’s perspective.
