Sullivan Rutherford Estate invites guests to an extraordinary Napa Valley afternoon of fine wine, exceptional cuisine, and world-class artistry.
Starting at ten in the morning on October 4th, a limited number of guests will have the opportunity to participate in a guided painting session with Oaxacan artists Jacobo and María Ángeles, internationally celebrated for their masterful alebrijes. This private class will offer guests the chance to create a painted wood-carved figure—guided by the very hands that have shaped works for the Smithsonian and the Vatican.

At noon, guests will be invited to an intimate reception on the winery lawn to meet special guests, Jacobo and María Ángeles. As the afternoon unfolds, guests will enjoy a seasonal multi-course luncheon prepared by Executive Chef Jim Leiken of Sullivan’s sister property, Poetry Inn Napa Valley, hosted by Winemaker Jeff Cole, General Manager Joshua Lowell, Director of Sales and Client Relations Erin Callahan and Managing Partner Juan Pablo Torres Padilla.

With nearly three decades of experience alongside culinary icons Daniel Boulud, Michael Anthony and Cindy Pawlcyn, Chef Leiken brings a mastery of technique and a devotion to seasonal excellence. At Poetry Inn, Leiken uses each plate as a canvas—an expression of the senses—crafted to honor the beauty of the region. His cuisine will be exquisitely paired with the acclaimed J.O. Sullivan Founder’s Reserve Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a special pour of Loco Tequila. Jacobo and María Ángeles collaborated with Loco Tequila to create a limited-edition art collection featuring the Loco Puro Corazón expression. Alongside the full display of the limited-edition Loco Puro Corazón collection, Jacobo and María Ángeles will unveil a hand-painted celebratory format of the J.O. Sullivan Founder’s Reserve Collection.

These flagship wines, crafted from the estate’s 22-acre vineyard, are shaped by its gravelly soils, producing expressions that are both powerful and refreshingly vibrant.

“For our team, excellence is not a benchmark but a responsibility,” says Lowell. “We are passionate about celebrating life’s finer things. Through this thoughtful artistic collaboration, we hope to create an unforgettable experience to share with like-minded guests.”Interested attendees may reserve a ticket at the link here.
