San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Opera Guild raised a toast to the upcoming 104th season on August 20 with an exclusive cocktail party at the Grand Penthouse of 181 Fremont. Jay Paul Company Chief Investment Officer Matt Lituchy welcomed Opera Ball 2025 patrons to the vast penthouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge, while co-chairs Jennifer Bienaimé and Isabel Rhee celebrated the third annual preview party for Opera Ball at 181 Fremont Residences alongside mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges and SF Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock.
The Italian-themed evening perfectly saluted the season’s opening production of Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” with waiters serving Negronis, Hugo Spritzs and caviar throughout the spectacular penthouse as guests enjoyed panoramic city views. Lituchy and Shilvock entertained attendees with a lively discussion about the upcoming production, which will feature Mongolian baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat, Romanian soprano Adela Zaharia and mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges, with Company Music Director Eun Sun Kim conducting the international cast. The sophisticated gathering provided the perfect preview of the Opera’s ambitious season, while offering patrons breathtaking views from San Francisco’s most elevated residential perch.
