Lake Tahoe’s crystalline waters provided a breathtaking backdrop on August 2 as Oscar de la Renta Co-Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia unveiled their Pre-Spring 2026 collection at a private family estate in Incline Village. The intimate lakeside runway show transported guests into a vibrant garden fantasy, opening with Steely Dan’s “Josie” as the first model emerged in an ivory foxglove guipure blouse and coordinating skirt, adorned with gold accents that shimmered against Tahoe’s azure backdrop.
The collection’s garden-in-bloom concept came alive through cascading 3D floral appliqués, gilded leather leaves and hand-crocheted knits with delicate floral fringe, all inspired by Kim’s personal garden. Feather motifs graced silk twill jumpsuits and jersey knit dresses, while sequined gowns in amber, sky blue and mint showcased organza threadwork and feather floral appliqués that glimmered in the late summer sun. The show reached its crescendo with a tuberose floral draped tulle bridal gown, which seemed to float down the runway as waves lapped gently at the shore. Behind the scenes, Allies of Skin founder Nicolas Travis and lead esthetician Leyen Tran provided tailored facial treatments featuring the brand’s cult-favorite Multi Peptides & Growth Factor Advanced Lifting Serum, while makeup artist Jason Leong crafted dewy looks and Ron Pernell styled effortless beach waves that perfectly complemented the lakeside setting.
