After seven years of meticulous planning and unwavering vision, Appellation Healdsburg has officially opened. Chef Charlie Palmer, the visionary behind this culinary-first hotel brand, expressed his gratitude during the grand opening celebration, saying, “To my family, our team, and the community that stood behind this vision—thank you. I couldn’t be prouder to open our doors in this incredibly special place I call home.”
The grand opening was a heartfelt gathering of friends, family, partners, and the dedicated team who brought this dream to life. Guests raised their glasses to toast the community and the beginning of a new chapter in Sonoma wine country.
Among the purveyors and partners in attendance were Comstock Wines, Rancho Coyote Wines, Palmer & Co: Charlie Palmer Cuvée, Vanda Florals, Humboldt Cider, Sonoma Brothers, and Hog Island Oysters, showcasing the rich tapestry of local flavors and craftsmanship that define the region.
Appellation Healdsburg is the first ground-up build from the Appellation brand, co-founded by Michelin-starred Chef Charlie Palmer and hospitality executive Christopher Hunsberger. Nestled on eight-and-a-half acres of lush landscapes, the 108-key boutique features two distinct villages connected by winding paths, culinary gardens, and open-air gathering spaces.
The resort also includes two signature dining concepts from Chef Charlie Palmer Folia Bar & Kitchen and Andys Beeline Rooftop — led by a talented culinary team that includes Chef de Cuisine Reed Palmer and Executive Pastry Chef Nassim Bounoua.
Guests can also enjoy two pools, Terroir Spa and a fitness center. Each guestroom and suite at Appellation Healdsburg invites the outdoors in, with vineyard and pool-facing balconies, agrarian tones and textures.
Grand Opening Exclusive Offer
To commemorate its opening, Appellation Healdsburg is offering a Grand Opening Exclusive. Guests who book a minimum two-night stay by October 31, 2025, will receive a $300 resort credit to enjoy the resort’s signature experiences, from dining at Charlie Palmer’s restaurants to rejuvenating at the Terroir Spa. Subject to availability, this special offer is available for travel through February 28, 2026.
