One Big Table Raises $900,000 at SF-Marin Food Bank Benefit

The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s annual One Big Table celebration reached new heights on September 13, raising $900,000 as 400 guests joined San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and First Lady Becca Prowda for an evening where the Bay Area’s most celebrated chefs donated their culinary talents to combat hunger. The sophisticated fundraiser, now in its thirteenth year, transformed into a culinary showcase featuring famed restaurateurs, from 7 Adams’ chefs David Fisher and Serena Chow Fisher to The Slanted Door’s Dong Choi, creating an extraordinary dining experience that began with a pre-dinner sampling reception and concluded with an lively dance party featuring an open bar and as much food as the happy partygoers could sample.

San Francisco-Marin Food Bank CEO Tanis Crosby welcomed distinguished supporters including board members, event sponsors and community advocates for an evening that perfectly captured the organization’s mission to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin. The chef-curated dinner featured an impressive roster of cooks in the kitchen, including Azalina Eusope from Azalina’s, Burmatown’s Jennifer Fujitani and Jenny Gee, Rooh’s Ashish Tiwari, and Jason Halverson from The Vault Steakhouse. Other supporters, including Paula LeDuc Fine Catering & Events’ Daniel Capra and Bakery 350’s Ian Farrell and Matt Azevedo demonstrated the breadth of culinary talent committed to supporting the Food Bank’s vision of a world where everyone has access to nutritious food.
