Largo Concrete’s Annual Golf Tourney Raises Cystic Fibrosis Funds in San Jose

Largo Concrete’s sixth annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation golf tournament achieved another sold-out success on September 15 at San Jose’s Boulder Ridge Golf Course, continuing the company’s remarkable philanthropic journey that has raised $780,000 since 2019. Company President Mark Carnathan, whose grandson Cannon lives with cystic fibrosis, joined Vice President Phil Carnathan and employees, clients and partners for an event that perfectly embodied Largo’s mission to “make the world a better place,” earning their designation as the 2025 National Corporate Champion for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The tournament’s impressive scale reflected Largo Concrete’s commitment to Cystic Fibrosis research and treatment. Tournament attendees were treated to a generous barbecue spread donated by Penhall’s, while a margarita truck alongside the driving range was ready to serve thirsty competitors. The day’s festivities were followed by an elegant evening supper that included shrimp sliders and baby lamb chop appetizers, and an entree of seared filet mignon with Yukon Gold potatoes. The feast concluded with traditional New York-style cheesecake, as diners celebrated a successful day of philanthropy. Funds raised will support the Foundation’s critical research, drug development and clinical care centers that improve quality of life for people with Cystic Fibrosis, proving that corporate values rooted in compassion and inclusivity create lasting community impact.
