The afternoon of Sunday, May 18, brought vintage glamour to the breathtaking Yount Ridge Estate as Robyn Adele Anderson took the stage for the latest installment of Festival Napa Valley’s Olivia Decker Power of Music series. In a vibrant performance backed by her extraordinary jazz ensemble, Anderson captivated the audience with a genre-blending set that had guests snapping, swaying, and singing along.

Perched atop a quiet hill with 360-degree views of the Napa Valley, Yount Ridge Estate offered a stunning backdrop for the event. Guests were treated to fine wines from Blackbird Vineyards, including Pestoni Sauvignon Blanc, Arriviste Rosé, Illustration, and Contrarian, complemented by artfully curated charcuterie from Perkins Catering Co.

The concert, presented in memory of Philip Karl, the brother of Festival patron Margaret Karl, served as both a joyful celebration and a heartfelt tribute. Known for her unique renditions of songs across many musical genres, Anderson performed a moving version of Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Be Seeing You” as well as reinterpretations of TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love,” and Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” and bilingual covers of “Mambo Italiano,” and Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever.” Her grand finale, Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie,” brought the audience to their feet with a standing ovation.

Among the guests were Debbie and Mike Zeiden, Claire Hobday and Damian Archbold, Dena Grunt, Anne Kensok, and Olivia Decker.
From its beautiful setting to a performance that blended vintage charm with modern flair, the afternoon embodied the Festival’s commitment to present exceptional talent on one of the world’s most spectacular stages.
