The Caviar Co. transformed Saint Joseph’s Arts Society into a rhinestone-studded,
Western-themed wonderland on July 19, as San Francisco’s most indulgent annual tradition celebrated its tenth anniversary with a “Roe-deo” celebrating National Caviar Day. The Caviar Co. CEO and founder Petra Higby, alongside co-founder Saskia Allen, welcomed over 300 guests who saddled up in fringe, boots and sequins for a night that redefined cowgirl chic with over 40 decadent pounds of caviar served to the posh guests who filled Ken Fulk’s opulent venue.
The evening’s culinary VIPs included two-Michelin-starred Californios’ chef-owner Val Cantu and James Beard-nominated The Morris founder Gavin Schmidt, who watched acclaimed Chef Chris Ratcliff create elevated Western fare crowned with caviar bumps. Guests grazed on cornbread madeleines with whipped crème fraĂ®che, Cajun shrimp tacos and mac and cheese—all adorned with The Caviar Co.’s signature roe. Outside, A16’s wood-fired caviar pizza, caviar corndogs and a Tito’s Ice Luge kept the patio buzzing, while guests inside enjoyed La Cortadora’s live jamĂłn ibĂ©rico carving and specialty cocktails flowed from martinis with Luxardo London Dry Gin and caviar filled olives to Ranch Water with Mijenta Tequila. Avant-garde band The Evangenitals provided the soundtrack for trick rope performances and line dancing, as guests posed at Snapfiesta’s Western photobooth and received airbrush tattoos from Unreal.
