di Rosa Expression Ball Raises $250K at Minnesota Street Project

On June 28, the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art transported guests to the vibrant counterculture of 1960s California, at the Expression Ball, which raised more than $250,000, held at San Francisco’s Minnesota Street Project. The buzzy, Mod-themed celebration brought together artists, philanthropists and community leaders including Maria Manetti Shrem, Mary Miner and Board President Christopher Barefoot, to support the museum’s bold expansion into San Francisco and its new mission to commission contemporary works.

The evening’s centerpiece was the launch of FUND THE FUTURE, an ambitious campaign to transform di Rosa’s Napa campus into a modern, event-ready destination, with more than one-third of guests contributing to this integral initiative. Cuvee Wine Country Events curated the culinary experience, while generous wine donations from Bella Union, Bouchaine Vineyards, Chimney Rock Winery, Domaine Carneros, Firetree Family Vineyards and Truchard Vineyards reflected the organization’s deep Napa Valley roots. A fabulous go-go dancer atop an LED platform kept the 60s vibes groovy, while the live auction featured exclusive lots including works by Tom Holland, Frances McCormack and Deborah Oropallo, alongside 20 rare magnums and bespoke travel experiences to Italy, France and California wine country.
