Family House San Francisco, a free home away from home for families with children receiving medical treatment, hosted their inaugural benefit golf tournament. In partnership with Touchstone Golf, Family House hosted “Golf With Heart” on May 16 at Tilden Park Golf Course. The fun-filled, family-friendly tournament sold out, and surpassed its fundraising goal by raising $110k on the first outing. All funds raised will benefit families with children facing life-threatening illnesses and receiving treatment at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
When they weren’t golfing, tournament participants refreshed themselves with breakfast tacos from Early Bird Tacos, washed down with drinks from the Bloody Mary bar. Lunch and drinks were served on the course, and after play was done it was time for happy hour with still more tempting apps and snacks, including home-grown favorite It’s-It ice cream sandwiches. Founded in 1981, Family House serves as a free home away from home for families navigating a child’s serious illness.
