On May 3, nearly 300 guests gathered beneath the majestic canopy of the National AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park for Take Me to the Trees, a celebration of nature, art and conservation hosted by Save the Redwoods League. This unforgettable evening brought together long-time friends and community members in support of California’s redwood forests. The tranquil spot among the towering trees was a perfect place to celebrate the conservation, commitment and stewardship the League represents.
The gorgeous natural venue set the stage for an evening that was a feast for all the senses. Delectable food was provided by Work of Art Catering, which created beautiful nature-scape art displays that allowed guests to interact with food-meets-art installations. The music came courtesy of a trio from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a dynamic live auction kept guests on their toes. Things wrapped up with a silent disco, where partiers were given glowing headphones so they could dance their hearts out under the stars. The night raised over $700,000 in total, which will help support Save the Redwoods League’s mission to protect and restore coast redwood and giant sequoia trees.
