Save the Redwoods League Bids Fond Farewell to Long-Time CEO

On March 27 Sam Hodder, CEO of Save the Redwoods League, gathered friends, colleagues and supporters at San Francisco’s Julia Morgan Ballroom to announce he’d be stepping down from his position. In his decade-plus tenure as chief, Hodder oversaw a significant period of growth and transformation for the organization.

One of the nation’s longest-running conservation organizations, Save the Redwoods League has been protecting and restoring redwood forests since 1918. The League has connected generations of visitors with the beauty and serenity of the redwood forests. The League has protected more than 220,000 acres of irreplaceable forests in 66 state, national and local parks and reserves.
