Opera Parallèle Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Benefit Party and Performance

Opera Parallèle, San Francisco’s renowned contemporary opera company, celebrated its 15th anniversary with a March 27th benefit gala at the City Club of San Francisco. The glamorous evening–which included live music and an elegant dinner–raised over $440,000 in support of Opera Parallèle’s groundbreaking productions.  

In Pursuit of a Dream: A 15th Anniversary Celebration also honored composer and local luminary Jake Heggie, recent recipient of the 2025 Musical America Composer of the YearAward. Other classical music VIPs on hand that night included Honorary Event Chair Gordon P. Getty and world-renowned mezzo-sopranos Susan Graham and Frederica von Stade, who performed musical selections for the rapt audience. Founded in 2007 as Ensemble Parallèle by conductor Nicole Paiement, Opera Parallèle pursues a mission of bringing transformative opera experiences to diverse audiences.
