The American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in style with an amped-up version of its annual fundraising gala, held on March 22 at the Conservatory at One Sansome. More than 350 guests flooded the elegant space with a sea of red and black formalwear, and even some period costumes worn in homage to the The American Red Cross and its wartime roots. Over $1.3 million was raised at this year’s event to support the organization’s homage to the Red Cross and its wartime roots,
The night began with a cocktail reception featuring passed oysters from Oysters XO and a selection of tipples courtesy of Junipero Gin and Old Potrero San Francisco, among others. Partygoers also got the chance to experience a magazine-styled photo shoot by The Vanity Portrait Studio. After pausing for a sit-down dinner of filet mignon and truffled white bean raviolo, the fun continued with a program–emceed by KPIX 5 sports newscaster Vern Glenn–that included an awards ceremony and a chance for the guests to win luxury items and experiences. Funds raised at American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region’s gala will support the organization’s mission to prevent and alleviate suffering in times of crisis.
