On March 12th, San Francisco Opera Guild hosted an exclusive donor appreciation event, graciously hosted by classical music champion Gordon P. Getty, at his home. The VIP reception and recital was held in recognition of the Guild’s generous friends, who support the organization’s mission to bring music education programs into schools and communities across the Bay Area.
Guests were first welcomed to a lively cocktail reception, where they nibbled hors d’oeuvres and sipped a curated selection of wines. The social hour then gave way to a special live performance featuring an array of vocal talents including soprano Danielle Cheiken, baritone Eugene Bracoveanu, soprano Samsara Dluzak, and baritone Curtis Resnick. Accompanied by pianist Paul Dab, the vocalists performed selections from Don Giovanni, Into the Woods and West Side Story. Founded in 1939, San Francisco Opera Guild is an opera education organization, with a mission to “give voice to potential” by bringing the enrichment of musical arts to school children around the Bay Area. This event was made possible by Presenting Sponsor, Northern Trust.
